FBC Women's Ministry

In these times of rushing to keep up with schedules, work, relationships, civic duties and church duties - not to mention housework, husbands, kids, grandkids, and aging parents - women long for an oasis in the desert, a calm in the tornado. Women need a "spa" where they can come away from all the chaos and be pampered and rejuvenated.

This is the goal of FBC Women's Ministry - to minister to the unique needs of women. Twice during the year, we sponsor a women's event which includes entertainment, a guest speaker, interactive games, and just getting to know other women with whom we can relate.

Our women's ministry also offers opportunities for trips to outside events such as Women of Faith and Extraordinary Women conferences.

In addition, our fall, spring and summer Bible studies feed our hunger for God's word and bring us into closer relationship with Him through prayer.

The Baptist Women’s group is a part of Woman’s Missionary Union (WMU) of North Carolina.

Our purposes are to teach about missions, pray for our missionaries, and give to missions – as well as to encourage the church to support missions by praying and giving.

The Baptist Women meet several times a year on the first Monday of the month at 10:00 a.m. in Adams Hall. We invite you to visit our group at any time.

At each meeting, we pray for our missionaries, have a program on missions, bring items for a specific community missions project, and have a time for fellowship and refreshments.

In March each year, we have a special program focusing on the Week of Prayer for North American Missions. In May, we have a spring luncheon with a featured speaker. Each December we have a special program observing the Week of Prayer for International and Global Missions.

The tickets are on a first-come, first-served basis, and there are a limited number available.  The seats are lower level, and the ticket price of $99.00 includes the Friday pre-conference during the day, as well as a box lunch on Saturday during the main conference.
