After receiving her Master of Divinity degree from the Divinity School at Gardner-Webb University in 2003, Tonya joined the church staff as the Minister of Youth and Families. In October 2007, Tonya made the transition to the Minister of Children and Families.

In working with youth and children, Tonya says, “One of the greatest joys is seeing that light go on and knowing that they have just made a connection between God’s Word and their life.” One of Tonya’s desires is to help make the Word a vibrant reality in the lives of those to whom she ministers.

Tonya and husband Shane greatly appreciate the opportunities they have had over the years to share the love of Christ with others in the church and in their home. The Stewarts deeply value the gifts of faith, home, and family.

Tonya and Shane are anticipating the arrival of their first child in June 2008.
