Debbie A. Leonhardt, Minister of Education & Administration
Find out about Debbie's passions.
Debbie Leonhardt came to know Christ as Savior when she was seven years old, due to the loving influences of her family and church family in Hickory, NC. At age ten, while attending a summer GA camp, she first felt the call to ministry.
Debbie’s spiritual journey has taken her many places. During her seminary years she spent time working in inner city Baltimore, discovering how to evangelize urban areas. During the summer of 1986, Debbie led an international mission group to Panama. While there she encountered a life threatening physical problem which further defined her faith. Debbie says, “I learned that no matter where you are, even the jungles of Panama, God is indeed there and is faithful. I can never be afraid of death again.“
Debbie’s passions include learning and helping people. Several years after completing seminary, Debbie returned to school to get an additional Master’s degree in counseling. She has worked in the public school setting as a counselor, and owned and operated a private counseling and consulting agency. Over the years she has served churches as a Minister of Music, Minister of Youth, and as a Minister of Education and Administration.
Debbie relaxes by reading, listening to or performing music, swimming, and watching or playing basketball.
