New Orleans Mission Information
Parents,

I am excited to announce plans for the 2010 youth music & mission trip.  This year we are planning to spend the week serving in New Orleans, Louisiana.  Our youth have developed an attitude for serving, and want to continue what they started in NYC, and here in Statesville.

I have most of the details, and I will create a more formal package for your review, but I wanted to get as much information to you as possible so that you will consider this awesome opportunity!

WHEN HOW WHERE
The mission will be the week of July 10th - 18th, 2010.  We will follow a very similar schedule that we had for NYC.  We will meet as a group the afternoon of Saturday, July 10th & attend the Saturday night worship service to be commissioned. We will drive to Salisbury to catch the AMTRAK train to New Orleans.  Once we arrive, we will stay on the campus of the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, and will be housed in their dorms.  The week will be spent on missions during the mornings & afternoons, & singing in the evenings.

COST
The ENTIRE package (which includes everything!) is currently $362 per person.  My goal is to reduce this cost down to $100 per person through fundraisers....which means we need to raise $8,500 before July, 2010!

A non-refundable deposit of $100.00 is due Sunday, March 21st.  (Make checks payable to First Baptist Church.  MEMO: Mission Trip)
If we do not make the fundraising goals, then the balance will be due by May 9th.

MORE INFO
Please review these two links to learn more information regarding this mission:
We have 40 seats open for this mission....33 youth and 7 chaperones.  This will be a "first come, first served" registration process, so please bring your deposit as quickly as possible.  I wlll create a "wait list" in case there are last minute drop outs.

Many lives changed during our trip to New York. Please consider this opportunity for us to continue to serve.  I am ready to create a sign up sheet. Please respond to me via e-mail if you would like to sign your youth OR volunteer as a chaperone.  This is for reference only!  None of the spots will be secured until we receive the deposit.

I will forward more information as it becomes available.  Thank you for your time & support!
