Wednesday Is Family Night

Family Night Supper will be served 5:00-5:45 PM in the Gym
Menu for Wednesday, May 23: Lasagna, Italian Vegetables, Dessert. Children's Meal: Pizza, Fries.
Our FBKC Children's Choir, Grades 1-5, led by Susan O'Keefe. will present the musical "Spend Awhile on the Nile" on Wednesday, May 23 at 5:45 PM in the FLC Fellowship Hall.
Everyone is invited to come and enjoy this special program.

Youth Minister Named
First Baptist Church voted Sunday, May 6 to call Landon Senn as Minister of Youth, effective August 15, 2012.
The church voted 247 to 7 in favor of the recommendation from the Minister of Youth Search Committee to call Landon Senn of Greenville, SC. The church appreciates the dedication and work of the Youth Minister Search Committee, with Jeff Faulk as chair. Landon Senn is currently serving as Program Coordinator for Look Up Lodge Christian Retreat Center and Camp, Travelers Rest, SC. He graduated this month from North Greenville University in Greenville, SC.
First Baptist Church welcomes Landon as a new partner in ministry to our community in Christ's name.

Implementation Teams
The first meetings of our new FBC Implementation Teams were held on Sunday, May 6. These seven teams have been created to carry out the seven God-Sized Initiatives adopted by the church in our "Living the Calling" emphasis. Sign-ups will continue throughout May.
The seven teams are: Worship, Spiritual Formation, Children & Youth, Fellowship, Evangelism, Leadership, and Special Missions Opportunities.
Please consider finding a place of service on one of these teams, which will be meeting monthly to discuss specific ways that our church can carry out its God-Sized Initiatives.

Drop-off time is 8:30-8:45 each day; pick-up time is 12:00-12:30 p.m.

Summer Music Camp
Monday-Friday, July 16-20
9:00 AM to 12:30 PM in the Family Life Center ~ For Rising 2nd-8th Graders
We'll be rehearsing for a musical, "Life Is Good!"

Auditions for parts will be held June 11 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM.

One-Year Bible Study
"Read the Bible in One Year"
Dr. Jeff Porter is leading a Bible study on Wednesdays at 5:45 PM in the Family Life Center, based on the "One-Year Chronological Bible."
Copies of the Bible are available ($14). You may also pick up a free reading guide, or read the daily scripture online.
