Wednesday Is Family Night

Family Night Supper is served 5:00-6:00 PMNov 2011 Weds Night kids (15)

Menu for February 1: Roast Pork, Mashed Potatoes with Gravy, Turnip Greens, Cornbread, Dessert. Children’s Menu:   Hamburgers, Fries. Meals are $5 for adults & children 13 & over, $4 for senior adults & children 12 & under ($20 maximum per family)

Activities for all ages 5:45 to 7:00 PM:

Two Adult Classes Offered: (1) "Read the Bible in One Year" class led by Dr. Jeff Porter in the Fellowship Hall. (2) Healthy Living Class, "Made to Crave," in the gym, with Bible study led by Debra Thomas, and three exercise options.

Youth: Missions projects and small group studies for youth (Youth Hall upstairs).

Grades 1-5: The FBKC Kids Choir meets in Adams Hall for "Spend Awhile on the Nile" rehearsals, led by Susan O'Keefe.

Preschool Choir: Meets in the Preschool Room, led by Jan Wuertz, Jackie Holshouser, and Louise Hunter.

5:45 PM Wednesdays in the Gym

Bible Study Discussion Led by Debra Thomas

Based on Lysa TerKeurst's book "Made to Crave." Books and participants' guides are available for $9 each.

Three Workout Options: Walking Group, Running Group, or Boot Camp

 

One-Year Bible Study

"Read the Bible in One Year"One year chrono bible

Dr. Jeff Porter is leading a Bible study on Wednesdays at 5:45 PM in the Family Life Center, based on the "One-Year Chronological Bible."

Copies of the Bible are available ($14). You may also pick up a free reading guide, or read the daily scripture online.

"Spend Awhile on the Nile"

All Children in Grades 1-5 are invited!Spend a While on the Nile (small)

Every Wednesday from 5:45 - 7:00 PM in Adams Hall, directed by Susan O'Keefe.

We'll learn Bible stories and verses as we sing and rehearse for our spring musical.

Seven Teams To Be Formed

As the next step in the church's Center for Congregational Health series, seven implementation teams will be formed to fbcrecommend goals for the "Seven God-Sized Initiatives" chosen by the church in 2011.

The "Seven God-Sized Initiatives" for First Baptist Church-Statesville are:

(1) Worship    (2) Spiritual Maturity     (3) Children and Youth     (4) Fellowship / Friendliness   

(5) Evangelism / Outreach   (6) Leadership   (7) Special Opportunities.
